Title: Legends over Generations
Author: Ashraf Haggag
Blurb: Since the beginning of human settlement, a lot of people came up with ideas, philosophies, beliefs, experiments, research, redesigning of thoughts, talents, and surveys to bring myths to reality.
People contributed to various life aspects science, politics, literature, arts, social activities and so many other fields. These genius minds put a keen interest in every phenomenon right from when they were young. The zeal, passion, dedication, hard work and efforts they put into their work helped them discover something new about the world we live in.
In these Legends, we’ve seen inexplicable abilities that helped us define our existence and human life. Their names are engraved in the sands of time for their work in the welfare of mankind with different inventions that have made our lives easy, enjoyable and successful. The following chapters commemorate the greatest personalities we’ve ever seen who changed the world.
They are among the most influential people of today’s world. With practical advantages in various aspects, they have helped us to grow a better understanding of the world and different working phenomenon’s that governs us. Their way of shaping modern day culture is completely unrivaled.
Review: So this is the second book I am reviewing that is written by Ashraf Haggag, the first one being Echoes of Culture in the Corporate Environment. Both of them were received through VInfluencers. To sum up its genre, Legends over Generations is a self-help/motivational book. The book begins with a lovely note by the author as to how leadership is important and how various Leaders over Generations were born who changed the course of our future. What is it that separates these people from the rest of us? This is the question whose answer the author seeks to find in this book.
As you read further, the author takes you on a roller coaster journey. He discusses the lives and times of various leaders across different fields- human rights, science, politics, art and literature. From Napolean Bonaparte to Dalai Lama to William Shakespeare to Nikola Tesla, there is so much information and inspiration for you to absorb that it will make your head spin!
The best part? Every chapter on each Legend ends with their famous quotes which are inspiring, to say the least. Unlike other books, it is not preachy. The book is simple facts, but these are facts that make you want to do something good, if not for the world at large, then atleast for yourself.
Finally, there are just a couple of pages where Ashraf analyses the common traits in all these Legends over Generations. These are simple, understandable and easily implementable tips that you will certainly cherish and thank the author for.
I think perhaps the only downside to this book is that there are some grammatical errors/incorrect usage of vocabulary that might put you off a little as they tend to break your flow. But all in all, this book is a great read and certainly recommended for those who are looking for a dose of inspiration or simply want to hone their leadership skills.
