In this world what we try to find is just one thing- love. I guess we can all agree to it to some extent. But in this journey of finding love, we often forget to turn to the most amazing person. One who will love you through thick and thin. All you have to do to earn is to just to accept it with open arms.
Now you might be wondering what that is you need to accept to earn this tremendous love. By now some of you may even have guessed it correctly. You have to accept yourself. In this journey of finding love, we forget to find love that breathes inside us. Trust me, the day each one of us finds love within ourselves that will be the most amazing day of our lives and every day after that.
“Love yourself first so you know what you deserve.”
To love yourself means to accept yourself as you are and to come to terms with those aspects of yourself that you cannot change. It means to have self-respect, a positive self-image, and unconditional self-acceptance. Needless to say, it does not mean being arrogant, conceited or thinking that you are better than anyone else. It means having a healthy regard for yourself knowing that you are a worthy human being.
When we start to love ourselves more each day, it’s amazing how are lives get better. We feel better. We get the jobs that we want. Our relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin.
It’s a very simple premise—loving yourself. Trust me simple things are usually the most profound. Life is a voyage of self discovery. To be enlightened is to go within and to know who and what we really are, and to know that we have the ability to change for the better by loving and taking care of ourselves.
It’s not selfish to love ourselves. It clears us so that we can love ourselves enough to love other people. We can really help the planet when we come from a space of great love and joy on an individual basis.
Unfortunately, many of us will not love ourselves until we lose the excessive weight, or get the job, or get the raise, or the boyfriend, or whatever. We often put conditions on our love. But we can change. We can love ourselves as we are right now! All we need to do is accept ourselves completely and start loving yourselves each and every day a little more. We Are In Charge Of Our lives.
If you are not willing to love yourself today, then you are not going to love yourself tomorrow, because whatever excuse you have today, you’ll still have one tomorrow. Maybe you’ll have the same excuse 20 years from now, and even leave this lifetime holding on to the same excuse.
I read these lines few days ago:
I am not a healer. I do not heal anyone. I think of myself as a stepping stone on a pathway of self-discovery. I create a space where people can learn how incredibly wonderful they are by teaching them to love themselves. After years of individual counseling with clients and conducting hundreds of workshops and intensive training programs across the country and around the world, I found that there is only one thing that heals every problem, and that is: to know how to love yourself.
This explains it all so spend some hours with yourself and starting loving yourself and then life will even start loving you.
“Love yourself—accept yourself—forgive yourself—and be good to yourself, because without you the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things.” -Leo F. Buscaglia
