The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of UIET, Panjab University is well known for its progressive model of problem solving. A model that is not only sustainable but also pivotal to growth and prosperity. Since its establishment, it has pursued towards creating a nurturing environment for budding entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial-minds alike. How, you ask? By conducting workshops, events, seminars, boot camps, interactive sessions, pitching sessions and many more such endeavors. So, true to its essence, the EDC is organising UDYAMI- the annual E-Summit to promote entrepreneurship in the region.
In its fifth edition, UDYAMI aims to bring together entrepreneurs, students, industrialists and investors to create an ambience for new ideas and startups. Also, the summit will include competitions designed to test and enhance the entrepreneurial skills, workshops and Panel discussions covering all the major fields of entrepreneurship. So, the theme for this year is- Sustainable Present for Future.
Apart from the usual workshops and panel discussion, perhaps the most interesting part of the Summit is the competitions. The one in particular that I am looking forward to is ‘Startup of the Event’. The winning idea(s) will get mentored, funded and win other exciting prizes.
The other competitions at UDYAMI include-
Bid Your Own Company (Flag ship): With Virtual money at stake you bid for the various profiles of your company, make the best of it.
Board Room: Do you think you are business minded? What if your company has a breakdown? The spotlight is on you.
Planathon (Avengers Annihilation) (Flag ship): A treasure hunt inspired by Avengers. Plan-a-thon puts you right into the shoes of a planner.
Creatour 19: An opportunity to plan a tour package of world famous countries within a limited budget.
Finally, the list of speakers at the event is equally impressive with the following gracing the occasion-
