Movie: Pati Patni aur Woh
Director: Mudassar Aziz
Starring: Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Pandey, Aparshakti Khurrana
Review: Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar are a married middle-class couple. But the husband soon gets “bored” of his life and tries to find love elsewhere (in Ananya Pandey). All this while, his best friend (Aparshakti Khurana) protects him but never supports the idea.
The film is a comedy and is a remake of the 1978 film by the same name. There are a lot of laughs in the movie. However, the best part of Pati Patni aur Woh is Bhumi Pednekar who carries the while film on her shoulders. She is an intelligent, smart, gorgeous Physics teacher and you keep wondering why would her husband leave her for someone like Ananya Pandey.
Kartik Aaryan is nothing extraordinary in this movie but plays his role well. But Ananya Pandey is the biggest disappointment of this movie with her poker face and zero expressions. Also, you keep wishing for more Aparshakti Khurana as he is underused as an actor in Pati Patni aur Woh.
The second half of the movie is really enjoyable with a great climax and an interesting cameo which should not be revealed (though you will find a huge hint in the video review below).
All in all, Pati Patni aur Woh is an enjoyable movie with some great concepts of mental infidelity touched briefly.
