Menswear Trends to Know In 2021 (Spring Edition)

Every season, there are fashion trends that come and go, while some choose to stay. These menswear trends are particularly evergreen and even if they’re not, they continue to be in the market for a few years. From combat outfits to floral designs, this is the perfect time of the year to upgrade your wardrobe with such clothing pieces. 

Effortless suits

Because summer is often compared with well-being, the formal outfit can be put aside to make way for a suit with effortless accents that you can be wearing for a warm evening by the breeze. Today colours like grey, brown etc. are making its way instead of the common blue and black suits. For me it is the most important menswear item of this list!

How to wear

Color combination is the key. We all know black and white is a classic among suits. But if you are trying to play around with other colors like grey or blue, you must be aware of the colour combinations so that you could make it look a lot better than casual wear.

Denim on Denim

Lighter shades of denim draw attention to the body parts they cover, while darker washes create a slimming effect. For many people, this means that dark denim jeans paired with a lighter denim top or jacket is the most flattering way to go. Matching blue with blue is also a way to go with and looks amazing.

How to wear

Light wash denim or rigged pieces are always a go to option when it comes to denim on denim. The pairing should be appropriate or you would not be able to rock it as you should have.

Combat Outfits

Feeling tough? Why not add a pair of combat boots to your outfit? These classic boots, which appear similar to those worn by soldiers, instantly add a rugged touch to any outfit. A menswear which is not looked much upon, yet is very popular among celebrities. Perfect for almost anything. Be it with chinos, rigged denim or anything else, it just makes your outfit a lot bolder.

How to wear

The easiest way to pair it is with colour of your boots. For instance, I wore green coloured combat boots and paired it with other shades of green which looks wonderful and gives a bold look to the outfit.

Florals

A return to the 1970s, which is making its way back to these years. It has become one of the biggest menswear trends in the last five years. And it shows no sign of slowing down in 2021. For the spring/summer season, floral shirts would be an essential part of your wardrobe.

Every big brand has been at it, splashing bold florals on shorts, shirts and what not. But I’d suggest keeping it simple while pairing it with the rest of your outfit.

How to wear

Floral prints goes well with any color. A menswear trend which is being promoted by all of the major brands is in hot form today. Further, a tip for you is to match it with color of your bottom wear or with the t-shirt underneath. Either you plan on doing sunbathing or not, level up the outfit with sunglasses. This outfit is best for picnics or outing with friends.
