Movie: Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan
Director: R.S. Prasanna
Starring: Ayushmann Khurrana, Jeetu, Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta

Review: Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The newest installment of this franchise focuses on the topic of homosexuality. Ayushmann Khurrana- the public superhero dons the role of a homosexual man who is in love with Jeetendra. For those unfamiliar with the actor, Jeetendra played the role of the much loved Jeetu Bhaiya in the web series Kota Factory. And honestly, he seems the apt choice for this role.

Both the actors are in love but Jeetu is unable to tell his parents (played by Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta) about his sexuality. What follows next is a hilarious yet heart warming tale of his parents trying to accept their child as a gay man.

The film address many issues plaguing individuals in the society- but mostly the biggest struggle of their family accepting their sexuality. From using rituals to “cure” homosexuality to the Supreme Court judgement on Section 377, the film has it all. Yet all of it has been done in a sensitive manner without belittling the LGBTQIA+ community.

Watch it for the amazing on screen chemistry between Ayushmann Khurrana and Jeetu and of course, the amazing storyline.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is definitely a must watch.
